Fairydery

Terms of Service

Who we are

Fairydery is made and sold by Berrymore MB, a company in Vilnius, Lithuania. These terms are an agreement between you and Berrymore MB. They cover the website fairydery.com, the app at app.fairydery.com, the Storytime: Tooth Fairy Tales app for iPhone, iPad and Android, and the personalised books we sell in our Etsy shop. Questions, problems and requests: hello@fairydery.com.

Fairydery is used by adults. By using it you confirm that you are at least 18 and that any details about a child are given by that child’s parent or guardian.

What Fairydery is

You tell us a little about your child — a first name, an age, tonight’s theme — and we write a bedtime story with your child as the hero. If you like it, you can turn it into a picture book: a cover and illustrations where the hero looks the way you describe them, in words. The stories in our free library are written the same way, for the big moments of childhood. Stories and pictures are generated with AI; see Made with AI below.

Free stories

Reading the stories in the library at fairydery.com/stories is free. Writing a story about your child is free as well, up to three stories a day. Free stories are not a purchase and come with no obligations on either side; we may change or close the free parts of the service at any time.

Picture books on the website

A picture book is a one-time purchase. There is no subscription, no trial and no automatic renewal. You choose one of three books — this story illustrated, a storybook of seven stories, or the big gift book of fifteen stories with colouring pages — and the exact price, in your currency, is shown on the button before you pay. The amount shown is the final amount charged.

Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see your card details. After payment the pictures are painted, which takes a few minutes for one story and up to about fifteen minutes for a storybook; we email you when the book is ready. The book stays at its link, where you can read it on any device and print it at home at no extra charge.

By paying you ask us to start making the book immediately. Where the law gives a right of withdrawal for digital content, you agree that it ends once we start.

Our promise and refunds

If you are not happy with your book, tell us within 7 days of buying it and we refund you. If a book arrives broken, incomplete or with a wrong detail, write to us at any time and we fix it or refund it: hello@fairydery.com. Refunds go back to the card or wallet you paid with.

The Storytime app

The Storytime: Tooth Fairy Tales app makes the same stories and books as the website. Downloading the app and writing stories in it is free; picture books in the app are one-time purchases made through Apple’s App Store on iPhone and iPad and through Google Play on Android (where the app is published under the developer name Berrymore Apps). Those purchases are also subject to the terms of the store you bought in, and refund requests for them are handled by Apple or Google under their rules. If a book you bought in the app does not arrive, write to us and we will sort it out.

You can sign in with your email address to see your stories on every device, and you can delete everything at any time from Settings → Delete my data in the app.

Orders on Etsy

In our Etsy shop we sell personalised books as digital PDF files, made to order from the details you enter at checkout: a story from Santa, a storybook of seven stories, a single story, and a Tooth Fairy book. Etsy orders are governed by these terms together with Etsy’s own terms and policies, and everything about an order — payment, questions, delivery of the file, messages and refunds — happens inside Etsy.

Made with AI

Stories are written by an AI language model and pictures are painted by AI image models, from the details you give us and our own prompts. The hero is drawn from your words, never from a photo: we never ask for or accept a photo of a child. AI is not perfect — a story may contain a slip, and a picture may show an odd hand or an extra button. Books ordered on Etsy are checked by a person before they are sent; please read any story once yourself before reading it to your child. Nothing we make is advice of any kind.

What you may do with what we make

The stories and books we make for you are yours to keep for personal, family use: read them, print them, share them with family, give them as a gift. You may not sell them, offer them as a product of your own, or use them to train other systems. The free library stories, the website, the app and our story engine belong to Berrymore MB; you are welcome to read and link to them, not to copy or republish them.

What you promise us

Changes and availability

Prices and the service may change; a change never affects what you have already bought, and the books you have bought stay at their links. We may limit or close parts of the service, including the free parts, and we may refuse or cancel an order that breaks these terms; in that case any payment for it is refunded in full.

Limits of our responsibility

We provide Fairydery as it is. Our total responsibility to you for any purchase is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing in these terms limits the rights you have as a consumer under the law of the country where you live.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Lithuania; if you are a consumer in the EU, you also keep the protection of the mandatory rules of your own country.
